The management of Imo State University has officially announced the commencement of registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
According to the publication released on Monday, May 25, 2026, registration for the screening exercise begins immediately for qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution.
Eligibility Requirements
The university stated that candidates who chose IMSU as their first-choice institution and scored a minimum of 160 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply.
Candidates who did not initially choose IMSU as their first choice but met the required cut-off mark can also participate, provided they change their institution of first choice to IMSU on the JAMB portal before the close of the application process.
Direct Entry applicants are expected to possess qualifications such as OND, HND, First Degree, A’ Level, or their equivalents in relevant disciplines.
The institution further emphasized that all candidates must ensure their O’ Level results are uploaded to JAMB. Awaiting-result candidates are also advised to upload their results immediately after release, as failure to do so may affect admission consideration.
